Ultra Sushi Spotlight

Ultra Sushi Spotlight

Have you ever been to an All-You-Can-Eat Sushi place? Make sure to check out Ultra Sushi, an AYCE and drink sushi restaurant that offers dishes from traditional nigiri to unique innovative sashimi dishes. While the price is steep at $45.99 per person, the amount of options you get and the quality of the ingredients makes this more than worth it for special occasions. Be ready to come during weekdays or make reservations as this place becomes crowded easily. There are locations in San Francisco and San Mateo for those interested!

Ultra Sushi: Sushi Recommendation

Ultra Sushi: Nigiri Display

Because Ultra Sushi is all you can eat, they try to limit parties from devouring all of the expensive dishes at once. Hence, they implemented a system where you can order one expensive dish alongside 2 regular options to balance out each order. This means that to order 1 “starred” dish, you have to pick and choose two other options. This is where we come in! We will tell you how to get your money’s worth at this place!

While some might like to get their money’s worth right away, we also recommend trying out all they have to offer. This is because their selection is so large, it is an experience in itself to try it all. They categorize their menu into 7 different categories, ranging from appetizers to robata to sushi rolls. The number 1 main “starred” item that we highly recommend is the Bluefin Tuna Toro. It has an amazing texture and is perfect for those looking for fresh, high quality tuna. To accompany it, we recommend oysters for those that enjoy them or sake salmon nigiri. Of course, feel free to explore the whole menu with options like their entire unique category or their 20 pcs chef’s choice sashimi.

Other Recommendations

If fresh fish is not your forte, we don’t recommend coming here as most of their delicacies are fresh. However, there are options like robata (skewers) and cooked sushi rolls like Lion King Roll. On the other hand, while there are options that prove to have great value for AYCE, there are options that do not. One of the options that we regret getting when coming to this restaurant is their sushi rolls. Do not think lightly of their portion sizes as they serve full 8-10 piece rolls when selected. If you do not want to fill your stomach early, do not get their rolls!

Drink-wise, Ultra Sushi offers soda and sake for those that plan to enjoy their meal. Overall, this restaurant is well worth the experience of going to an AYCE and will leave you utterly bloated by the end!
